Return and refund policy

At VAVAVA, we strive to ensure your satisfaction with every purchase. However, due to the perishable and regulated nature of alcoholic beverages like wine, we do not accept returns or provide refunds under any circumstances, except where required by applicable law (such as for faulty or damaged goods that are not due to shipping risks after handover to the carrier, or as mandated by Hong Kong consumer protection laws).

No Returns for Change of Mind

  • All sales are final once your order has been placed and payment processed.

  • We do not accept returns for change of mind, incorrect selection, or dissatisfaction with product taste, appearance, or condition (including cork taint, oxidation, or sediment, unless proven to be a manufacturing defect prior to shipping).

Faulty or Damaged Goods (Limited Exception)

  • If you receive a product that arrives damaged in transit or is not as described (e.g., wrong item sent), you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery via email to [vavavaitaly@gmail.com] with:

    • Order number and delivery date.

    • Clear photos of the damage/packaging/product.

    • Shipping label if applicable.

  • We will review claims at our sole discretion. Possible remedies (where legally required) may include:

    • Replacement of the affected item(s), if available.

    • Store credit (not cash refund).

  • We do not cover return shipping costs. Risk of loss passes to you upon handover to the carrier (see our Terms of Service, Section 5).

Cancellations

  • Orders can only be cancelled before payment is processed and confirmation sent. Contact us immediately if needed.

  • No cancellations after order acceptance.

Non-Returnable Products

The following are explicitly non-returnable:

  • Opened or partially consumed bottles.

  • Products with removed seals or tamper-evident packaging.

  • Temperature-affected wine (you assume transit risks, including heat/cold exposure).

  • Custom or pre-ordered items.

Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights under Hong Kong law where they cannot be excluded (e.g., for goods not of satisfactory quality due to our fault before shipping). If you believe you have such a claim, contact us promptly.
